Kids These Days
There was a commercial for Universal’s World of Harry Potter on television the other day that had my inner nerd raging and the normal part of me laughing at what a geek I am.
The Commercial: There are two little kids playing Harry Potter in the woods, using sticks as wands. The little boy shouts Expelliarmus and then a second later the little girl shouts Protego.
My total nerd response: The writers should have known that any kid who liked Harry Potter enough to be having a pretend duel would have known that the little boy had just disarmed the little girl. She wouldn’t have been able to cast a shield charm. Do a little research commercial writers. Jeese.
